Mathematics

At Mount Rowan Secondary College, Mathematics supports students to develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking and confidence with numbers. The program focuses on applying mathematics to real-world situations.

Students learn through three key areas:

Number and Algebra

Students develop understanding of numbers, patterns and relationships, and learn to apply these skills in everyday contexts.

Measurement and Geometry

Students explore measurement, space and shape, developing accuracy and reasoning skills.

Statistics and Probability

Students learn to collect, analyse and interpret data to make informed decisions.

VCE Pathways

In the senior years, students may choose from VCE Mathematics studies, including Foundation Mathematics, General Mathematics and Mathematical Methods, supporting a wide range of future pathways.
