Our motto reflects our commitment to work in partnership with parents and students to achieve the best possible educational outcomes for all our students.
To empower every student from Years 7–12 with inclusive, holistic education—nurturing academic growth, emotional resilience, and personal strengths—to confidently explore, create and thrive in future pathways together.
Mount Rowan Secondary College provides high-quality education for students in Years 7–12 from Wendouree, Creswick, Miners Rest, Clunes, Mount Blowhard, Invermay, Ballarat North and surrounding areas.
Our school values of Pride, Respect and Excellence through Effort underpin everything we do—guiding how we learn, how we behave and how we represent ourselves within the wider community.
Students in Years 7–10 benefit from a broad and engaging curriculum designed to build strong foundations in learning and personal growth. In the senior years, we offer a wide range of VCE subjects, supported by small cohort sizes that allow for individualised learning and strong teacher support.
The VCE Vocational Major is a strong pathway for students in Years 11 and 12, providing practical, hands-on learning and clear connections to further education, training and employment. VET programs are also available, enabling students to gain industry-recognised skills and experience while completing their secondary education.
Throughout their six years at Mount Rowan Secondary College, students are supported to explore extra-curricular opportunities, work experience, school-based apprenticeships and tailored pathways that meet their individual needs and prepare them for life beyond school.
