Curriculum

The study of English is central to the learning and development of confident communications, imaginative thinkers and informed citizens.
Health and Physical Education (HAPE) are core subjects in Years 7-10 at Mount Rowan.
Humanities is a core subject for years 7-10, with electives offered at year 9 and 10. Humanities is broken into four strands: Economics and Business, History, Civics and Citizenship and Geography.
At Mount Rowan we are pleased to be able to offer aspirant and capable students access to the years 7 to 10 STEAM Academy program called Innovate.
Our year 7 and 8 students participate in two weekly sessions dedicated to improving literacy skills.
Mathematics is a core subject in Years 7-10 at Mount Rowan. Students develop knowledge and skills in a range of activities including Number, Algebra, Space, Measurement, Probability and Statistics.
Performing Arts at Mount Rowan Secondary College includes Instrumental Music (instruments and voice), Drama and Theatre Production Design as well as many combinations of each of these disciplines.
At Mount Rowan, our Science program inspires curiosity and supports every student on their learning journey from Year 7 to Year 12.
Technology subjects equip students to design, create, use and evaluate innovative solutions that meet current and future needs using a range of technologies.
At Mount Rowan Secondary College students are offered extensive opportunities to excel in both Visual Arts and Performing Arts.
