The Arts

At Mount Rowan Secondary College students are offered extensive opportunities to excel in both Visual Arts and Performing Arts.

Student artists gain exposure to various mediums and styles within the creative industry, including Visual Arts, Media, Photography, Film, Textiles, Drama, Music and Theatrical Production Design. Hands-on experience is gained in our purpose-built art and ceramic studios, media and design labs, drama space, music practice and rehearsal rooms and professional standard theatre.

Visual Arts and Performing Arts are offered from Year 7 to Year 12 and are structured to support students with a knowledge-rich curriculum which enhances students’ creativity and skills by connecting them with meaningful local community and professional organisations and workshops.

Student artists can also pursue their creative passions through extra-curricular opportunities such as: Art, Film and Drama Clubs, Music Band Concerts, annual School Production (Musical) and Arts/Technology After 5 Exhibition.
