Offers an orientation camp for year 7 students at the start of the school year. This camp provides an opportunity for the year 7 cohort to get to know each other and staff in a more relaxed manner whilst participating in adventure activities and activities that link to the year 7 curriculum.
Year 8 students attend a beachside camp where they experience on a two-night, three day camp. They will have the opportunity to participate a range of adventure activities and observe a variety of native Australian wildlife. This camp is jam-packed with activities aimed at building relationships with peers and staff members, as well as allowing students to learn about coastal landforms and how these environments can be impacted and preserved. Some activities students will participate in are surfing, visiting the local attractions and beach walks.
‘City Experience’ is based in the city of Melbourne. Students navigate their way through the city via public transport, walking and using maps. There are a range of activities that encourage the students to get to the city from a viewpoint they may not have considered before. This camp is suitable for the whole cohort, whether they know Melbourne very well or not at all.
Students are able to attend the biannual Gold Coast Trip where they will experience sights of the Gold Coast. Students will take part in an interstate travel to Gold Coast to celebrate their year and help them transition into their senior years of school. During this camp they will be challenged on a number of levels including personal, social and independence. This is a 4 day event that includes flights and theme parks.
Year 12 Leadership Camp is an opportunity for the year 12 group to work together and challenge themselves academically and physically over two days at Burnside Camp, Anglesea. While also engaging with an external organisation to help set goals and build resilience in preparation to succeed in their final year of school.
Whilst these are the offerings of the camps, they can be subject to change. These are optional activities and full payment is required to participate.
