Mount Rowan is a government school, providing for students from Year 7 through to Year 12 on the one site. Through a comprehensive curriculum, together with the full range of post-compulsory pathways, we cater for the needs of all students through their various stages of learning. Our innovative teaching and learning practices and student leadership and personal development programs ensure that our students are well prepared to cope with the broad demands that society places on young people now and into the future.

Our Student Wellbeing Team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the holistic development and wellbeing of our students. Our dedicated team of professionals aim to provide comprehensive support tailored to meet the diverse needs of our student body, offering practical assistance and a supportive environment at Mount Rowan Secondary College.
Counselling and Guidance: Our trained counsellors provide confidential sessions to help students navigate personal/school issues, manage stress, enhance resilience, and develop coping strategies.
Psychological Support: Our mental health practitioners and provisional psychologists offer therapeutic support and interventions, to address a range of emotional and mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and experiences of grief and trauma.
Doctors in Schools Program: Through our partnership with the Doctors in Schools initiative, we have onsite medical professionals available one day per week to address students’ health concerns, provide medical consultations, and offer guidance on health-related matters.
Wellbeing Workshops: Throughout the academic year, we organise workshops, events and small group programs covering topics such as self-care, healthy relationships, stress management, and equipping students with valuable life skills.
Lunchtime Clubs: Students have access to daily lunchtime spaces and clubs facilitated by Wellbeing Staff to assist in making friendships, socialising with like minded people and being part of activities.
Crisis Intervention: In times of crisis or emergencies, our team provides immediate support and intervention to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students.
Referral Services: For students requiring specialised support or external resources, our team facilitates referrals to appropriate agencies and professionals in the community.
